Encouraging creativity, fierce competition and shopping ˆ three of my favourite things. Four to six designers are chosen every week to be printed and sold online with a $2,000 cash prize. Great results, in an indie-boy aesthetic, and many of my rocker boy mates have them stacked in their wardrobes.
He's the cult celebrity blogger who completely tears Hollywood stars apart on his site on a daily basis. Ok, so he's cruel to the people I love, but the fact that he's so lovely in person seems to justify his actions. He also receives music demos before the press, leaking the latest music months before the albums drop.
This site is probably the most fun online for jewellery, accessories, bags, dresses and even stationary. The Reko dresses are the cutest about, with amazing patterns and designs, including Seaside Stripes and Disney Party. It's unashamedly girly, is colourful, bright and something a little different.
This site does exactly what it says on the tin. The London Paper is the best of the 'free sheets' that emerged on the streets of London and public transport last year. When I'm away from my city I check their website daily for up-to-date news. I like to stay in the loop from out-of-town.
I couldn't leave this one out. It has a concise gallery of images and press cuttings, a weekly blog, information on what I have got coming up in club land and a video section with clips from various TV shows. I set the website up at the start of this year.
Apparently it's the fifth most popular blog in Europe and rightly so. It's packed with daily fashion tips, style bitching and asymmetric haircuts, with pictures from the weekend's outfits on the dance floors. This is a great place to observe contemporary youth culture in its most neon, Technicolor form.
Based in a little closet-sized space on 1st Avenue in NYC, this station makes fifty hours of podcasts available per week, spun by an eclectic mix of DJ's from New York's underground music scene and around the world – Mark Ronson even drops by on occasion.
Set up by photographer Alistair Allen only a year ago, this site has become a reference point for the fashion industry's top stylists and designers. It's updated on a regular basis with images from the dance floors of London – places such as BoomBox, Circus, FOR3IGN! and Durr.
A great site for pop music fans – it's packed with daily news, downloads, videos, interviews and gossip. As well as being a website, Popjustice is also a weekly London club night, a range of illustrated pop biographies, a compilation album, a mobile service a weekly email and a regular London live showcase night.
Tatty Devine is famous for unique and quirky accessories, which elevate jewellery to art status. The colors are bright and bold, the designs are daring and different. There's all sorts for the young, fresh and fashion conscious amongst you.
