Visa payWave is a new payment feature that lets you check out faster since you don’t need to fumble for cash. For purchases of £10 or less all you will need to do is simply wave your Visa payWave card in front of a reader and payment is completed in less than a second. Visa payWave cards build on the extension of chip and PIN technology therefore contactless payment for items of £10 or less will require no PIN; however cardholders will occasionally be required to enter their own PIN to ensure maximum security.

Visa payWave contactless card payments are being rolled out in the UK capital in partnership with its member banks including, HSBC, HBOS, Lloyds TSB, RBS and Barclays.
